MRH NEA responses
As a board member, I will support teachers from classrooms to contracts. As an educator myself, I know how imperative collective bargaining is to ensure that teachers have a voice in district negotiations and that their needs as full persons are recognized in decision-making. On December 31, 2025, the MRH NEA, the local chapter of the National Education Association, emailed a survey to every BOE candidate and subsequently interviewed each person who responded by the January 7 deadline. I met with several people representing the MRHNEA PAC and MRHNEA leadership on January 22, 2026.
The December survey indicated that my responses could be made available to the MRH community and I am making them available to you now. Because I value both transparency and brevity, I am providing my responses to key questions from that survey here. I am also providing a link to my full responses for anyone who wants access to the complete document.
If you are interested in learning more about the MRH NEA and its CBA with the district, you can find more information on the MRH website. Now go hug a teacher! (With their consent, of course!)
